Pastel Peace

Playing along in a couple of challenges today.  Teamie Cornelia is the Muse for the current Muse: Christmas Visions Challenge; and here's her amazing card:

This is also for the current CASology challenge:  weather.  Normally, I'd be doing something spring-like at this time of year, but the current dump of snow had me thinking winter :)

I opted for a soft color palette and lots of sparkle, but kept the "peace" theme.  Just did a quick watercolor wash background, splashed on some watered down gesso and then heat embossed the tree and the starry background with some glittery embossing powder. The sentiment has been die cut from some silver paper.

Here's a close-up of the sparkle:

Here's what I used:
Paper:  Strathmore 140# watercolor paper and SU! silver paper
Ink:  Versamark and Distress Inks for watercoloring
Stamp:  Penny Black Pine & Star
All the other stuff:  SSS Falling Stars stencil, WOW! Sparkling Snow Embossing Glitter, gesso, brushes, Penny Black "peace" die

Challenges entered:

Back soon with more my sweet friends...
