A Little Reminder for the One Layer Christmas Card Challenge

Tuesday, February 24, 2015

Just a quick reminder for the new One Layer Christmas card challenge.  The theme is anything goes with the optional twist of "bells":

And here's my second card for this challenge:

Went with a really neutral look this time.  I stamped and heat embossed the bell images in white. And then added a bit of shading with my Distress Markers and a damp brush.  Next, I added some light modeling paste through a stencil to create the snow effect.

Here's what I used:
Paper:  SU! Crumb Cake
Ink:  Versamark and Ranger Archival
Stamps:  STAMPlorations HOLIDAY SKETCHES:  Christmas Bells, VIGNETTE Christmas Block and JOYFUL
All the other stuff:  Distress Markers, paint brush, white embossing powder, EK Success powder tool, heat tool, light modeling paste, Simon Says Stamp stencil, corner chomper

Would love for you to play along!  Using the optional twist will get you an entry into the monthly random drawing.  Every card that you enter with the twist = 1 entry into the drawing and you can enter as many times as you'd like!

Check out the fabulous inspiration from the rest of the design team right here.

Back soon with more my sweet friends...

  1. Love your Christmas bells and snow Lee-Anne. Hope we don't get any more of the white fluffy stuff as the lambs are due here in the fields soon. :)

  2. Love the subtle colors you used. Beautiful card.

  3. Love your card Lee-Anne, the bells look fabulous embossed in white on the craft with the little touches of colour.

Thank you so much for taking the time to comment on my blog. You've made my day!
