Add a Little Dazzle and Neat and Tangled Blog Hop Day 3 Plus Dazzling Diva 52

Wednesday, November 19, 2014

Hello again, everyone!  It's day three of the Add a Little Dazzle and Neat and Tangled blog hop...welcome!!!  A fun blog hop sure to inspire you along with the added bonus of prizes.  Neat and Tangled has a wonderful array of stamps, digital images, dies as well as accessories like sequins. And Add a Little Dazzle carries a fabulous line of craft metal sheets that provides a distinctive look to your projects and cards.

And, since it's Wednesday, it's also the weekly Dazzling Diva Challenge.  This week we are focusing on the inlaid die technique which can be done with dies or punches quite easily.

And here's my card using dies:

I started with a piece of watercolor paper and heat embossed the very awesome Time Warp background from Neat and Tangled.  Once that cooled, I painted my paper with water and a paintbrush. Then, using the same paintbrush, I picked up Peacock Feathers Distress Ink and dropped it onto the wet areas of the card.

Once that was dry, the Brushed Copper stars were die cut, as was the background where I wanted to place them.  Next, they were carefully put in place and taped on the back of the watercolor paper to hold them in place.  Then I adhered it to my card base.  Easy peasy right?

Be sure to stop by all the blogs on the hop and enter to win:
