Pretty Pink Balloons

Thursday, October 2, 2014

Another card for the Hope You Can Cling To Challenges over at Splitcoast.  This time, we're to use something that floats.  So of course balloons came to mind, but not just any balloons...something with sparkle...and something pink :)

The balloons were made by dry embossing a piece of vellum in a swirly pattern, then I smeared some Stickles on with my fingers (great tool right?).  Then the balloons were die cut, as well as another layer from some paper from my scrap pile.  Once the Stickles were dry, the two layers were adhered together with Glossy Accents.

A simple stamped sentiment for one balloon string and two hand drawn ones for the others.  A smattering of stars and done!

Here's what I used:
Paper:  Bazzill Marshmallow, vellum and scrap
Ink:  Versafine
Stamps:  Simon Says Stamp Birthday Balloons
All the other stuff:  Big Shot Pro, Tim Holtz Regal Flourishes embossing folder, Fruit Punch Stickles, Glossy Accents, Copic Multiliner, Studio Calico stars

Challenges entered:
HYCCT1402:  things that float
Virginia's View Challenge:  CAS

Back soon with more my sweet friends...
