It's a birthday linky party today for the fabulous Shirley-Bee! Hope you are having a wonderful birthday today! Think my card is going to be a little late...with any luck you'll be receiving it soon!
Here's a link to Shirley's site...she makes the most amazing cards and has recently added stamp designer to her repertoire! Her stamp line is called The Bee's Knees...check it out!
Dabbling in some mixed media today. I've stamped the grid patterns in Ranger Archival ink and then inked a couple of colors of Distress Inks through two different stencils. Misted it with a bit of water, dried it and then added a layer of Picket Fence Distress Paint in a haphazard fashion to add even more texture.
The die cut poppies were covered with Silver Wink of Stella. Once that was dry, more stencilling and inking with Distress Inks. And for a finishing touch...a smattering of white sequins.
Here's what I used:
Paper: mixed media paper, SU! Rose Red, Bazzill Marshmallow
Ink: Picked Raspberry and Ripe Persimmon Distress Inks, Ranger Archival Watering Can
Stamps: Tim Holtz and MFT L.D. Birthday Greetings
All the other stuff: Big Shot Pro, Penny Black Field of Dreams, TCW Mini Tile stencil, Stencil Girl Ward stencil, Picket Fence Distress Paint, water mister, Silver Wink of Stella pen, sequins, adhesives
If you'd like to join in the fun and wish Shirley a Happy Birthday, the linky is here on Maria's site! (Thanks Maria!!!)
Shirley, may all your wishes come true today and throughout the coming year!!!
