Glittery Leaves and Butterfly

Tuesday, March 25, 2014

This card makes me feel like spring in spite of our less than spring like temperatures!

The background was stamped with some splotch stamps in three of the colors from the Splitcoast Stampers color challenge.  Our options were black, pistachio pudding, crisp cantaloupe, pool party, sahara sand and summer starfruit.  The dessert option of ribbon was not used.

Next comes a layer of embossing paste through a stencil.  Once that was dry, the leaves, butterfly and sentiment were adhered to the card.  A few sequins and done!

Here's what I used:
Paper:  Gina K., DCWV glitter paper, SU! Pool Party and Basic Black
Ink:  Hero Arts Soft Pool, Soft Vanilla and Blackboard
Stamps:  MFT Abstract Art and Simon Says Stamp Flower Friend
All the other stuff:  Big Shot Pro, Hero Arts Spring Branch die, Simon Says Stamp Leanna butterfly die, Simon Says Stamp chevron stencil, embossing paste, spatula, foam adhesive, sequins, adhesive

Challenges entered:

Simon Says Stamp:  glitter it
