For Colin

This story touched my heart, and I've included a link just in case you might have a spare card to send to Colin.  Colin's mom asked him if he'd like a birthday party next month when he turns 11.  Colin's response was no because he had no friends. Colin has a sensory processing disorder similar to autism and Asperger syndrome which causes him to act out in school.  The other kids don't like him due to this and he feels very lonely.  So Colin's mom has asked that people send Colin a birthday card to show him that he does indeed have friends.   Here's the link to the story on Fox news Happy Birthday Colin.

Made my card in a tall format today...it's 3.75" x 5.5"...just to change things up a bit.  The "sun" was sponged on the card using a template that was cut from a Spellbinder's circle die.  Then it was embossed with a star embossing folder in keeping with my theme.  Next I cut a 2.5" x 3.5" rectangle  and stamped it with three different star images.  Then the sentiment was stamped in black and I added a die cut polka dot star on the upper left corner.  The rectangle has been placed on dimensionals before adding it to the card.

A smattering of sequins and done!

Here's what I used:
Paper:  Gina K. pure luxury white
Ink:  Hero Arts Butter Bar, Green Hills and Pale Tomato inks; Versafine onyx black
Stamps:  Clearly Besotted Superstar
All the other stuff:  Big Shot Pro, Spellbinder's circle die, Clearly Besotted Superstar die collection, Cuttlebug star embossing folder, sponge, dimensionals, sequins

Challenges entered:
Seize the Sketch:

Splitcoast Stampers color challenge #466:  Strawberry Slush, Wild Wasabi and Daffodil Delight
The Paper Players challenge #183:  clean and simple/use a star

Back soon with more my friends...
