Birthday Peony

Sunday, February 9, 2014

Hello everyone!  It's bright and sunny here this morning...our wind chill started out at minus 42 but we've warmed up to a balmy minus 36.  Just a few more days of this cold and then it should warm up...yeah!

Time to play with some die cuts today!  I cut out the solid part of the peony in black and the outline part of the peony in gold.  Just punched out a few of the bits and left a few in.  Then it was popped up on dimensionals slightly off kilter to add a little shadow effect.

A simply stamped sentiment in black, a few rhinestones in black and done!  Rhinestones you ask? where are the sequins, Lee-Anne?  Well, after looking through all my sequins I discovered that I don't have any black...time to go shopping!!!

Here's what I used:
Paper:  Gina K. pure luxury white, SU! brushed gold and basic black
Ink:  Versafine onyx black
Stamps:  Neat & Tangled Across the Card
All the other stuff:  Big Shot Pro, Memory Box Delightful Peony Outline die, Memory Box Delightful Peony Background die, rhinestones, dimensionals
