Wishing for Tulips

Friday, January 10, 2014

Well, like so many others, the weather this past week definitely has me wishing for tulips *grin*.  This card is for a couple of challenges over at Splitcoast today...the Queen for the Day, Sandie and the MIX50 Color it Twice.

I've die cut an oval and stamped it with the tulip image.  First it was colored with Copics, and then I added some shading with Prismacolor pencils.  It's been placed over a piece of designer paper and then the die cut sentiment was stamped and heat embossed and placed overtop.

If you're going to do two step coloring with Copics and Prismas, always color with your Copics first and then the Prismas otherwise you can wreck your Copics...and we all know that's a very bad thing...

Here's what I used:
Paper:  Gina K. pure luxury card stock, Bo Bunny Garden Girl Collection
Ink:  Memento Tuxedo Black, Versamark
Stamps:  Technique Tuesday (tulips), Simon Says Stamp (sentiment)
All the other stuff:  Copics, Prismacolor pencils, Big Shot Pro, Simon Says Stamp Tilted Banners die, Spellbinders oval die, embossing buddy, Hero Arts white embossing powder, heat gun, dimensionals

Back soon with more...
