Day 7 - Twelve Tags of Christmas with a Feminine Touch

Friday, December 13, 2013

Well, I'm getting closer to completing all my tags for Ellen Hutson's Twelve Tags of Christmas with a Feminine Touch!  This tag is based on Paula Cheney's very festive tag:

I chose to do a mixed media type tag today in keeping with the MIX46 challenge at Splitcoaststampers.  The tag has been die cut out of water color paper.  Then it was swished through some Brushed Pewter Distress Paint mixed with water.  Next I used the same paint with the harlequin stencil in a very loose pattern.  Then the twigs (Tim Holtz) were stamped in Picked Raspberry and Dried Marigold Distress Inks.

The little stack of parcels, from Flourishes, was stamped on water color paper and colored with Derwent Inktense Pencils.  Then the ribbons were painted with more of the Brushed Pewter Distress Paint.  It was fussy cut and popped up with dimensionals.

A few sequins, a gem, little bit of gingham ribbon, a stamped sentiment from Simon Says Stamp and done!

Back soon with more...
