Sympathy Note

Tuesday, January 29, 2013

It's the color challenge over at Splitcoast today.  Our hostess has asked us to use SU! Lucky Limeade, Daffodil Delight and Island Indigo, and for dessert today...buttons.  This also qualifies for the TLC challenge from yesterday to balance a large image with a small one.

Taking a piece of white card stock, I sponged all three colors through various parts of the harlequin template.  Then I stamped the flower and the sympathy sentiment in black.  Next the paper was cut down to size to fit at an angle on the card base and then it was die cut across the top with the MFT Notebook Edge Die-namic.  Added some distressing and buttons...done!

The card base is a standard A2 and it's been dry embossed with a Couture Creations embossing folder.  This is another card that's easy to complete in 15 minutes or less.  That seems to be my focus these days!

Here's what I used:
Paper:  SU! Basic Black and Whisper White
Ink:  SU! Lucky Limeade, Daffodil Delight, Island Indigo and Ranger Archival Jet Black
Stamps:  Penny Black and Taylored Expressions
All the other stuff:  Couture Creations Tied Together embossing folder, TCW Mini Harlequin template, sponges, MFT Notebook Edge Die-namic, MFT buttons, Jody glue dots, thread, needle, distressing tool

Back soon with another card!
