Vintage/Shabby Chic

Time for a little vintage/shabby chic today.  I've used the August Viva la Verve Sketch Challenge for week one.

This is a  5 1/2" square card today.  The designer papers have been distressed and inked for the bottom two layers and in between them...a doily.  The sentiment rectangle was distressed, inked and then I used the "cracked glass" technique for some aging.

Added some ribbon, a bow and several buttons as well as a hand made paper flower backed by some tulle.  The paper flower was made by stamping the flower from the Joyful Blooms set several times and then each bloom was cut by hand.  Next, the flower layers were shaped with a stylus and molding mat and then further shaped with my hands.

Here's what I used:
Paper:  SU! Basic Gray and Melissa Frances Fifth Avenue
Ink:  SU! Blush Blossom, SU! Going Gray
Stamps:  Verve Words of Wisdom and Verve Joyful Blooms
All the other stuff:  misc. white satin ribbon, MFT buttons, Ellen Hutson doily, tulle, Glassy Glaze, heat gun, sponges, needle and thread, Becca Peg Bow Maker, distressing tool, McGill Paper Blossoms Craft Molding Mat and Paper Tool Kit, Tim Holtz Tiny Attacher

Thanks for joining me today friends!
