Finger Painting

Finger painting?  Why yes...playing with paints today took me back to my childhood!  We'll won't discuss how many years ago that was, OK? LOL!  It's fun and therapeutic...why don't you try it?

Lots of die cuts today...some from Spellbinders and some from Verve of course...because this is for the July Week 1 Verve Sketch Challenge over at Splitcoast.  Here's the sketch by the very talented Amber Hight:

Started out by using my distressing tool on the designer paper back panel.  Then added paint here and there with my fingers.  Next comes pieces of corrugated kraft, one cut with a Spellbinder's die and one cut with a Verve A Cut Above Die.  Both of these pieces were painted with Distress Stain and an Adirondack Acrylic Paint Dabber.  Next is another layer of designer paper that's also been cut with a Spellbinder's Die.  It's been inked with some Distress Ink to darken it a bit.  On top of that is another piece of corrugated kraft, again cut with a Spellbinder's die and painted with the same two mediums.

The sentiment has been stamped on a piece of coordinating designer paper that's been inked and then I touched it here and there with a little more acrylic paint.  The flower is a die cut from Verve.  And yes, just a little more paint.

Here's the recipe:
Paper:  SU Crumb Cake, MME Paris & Co and Kraft-E Flute corrugated paper
Ink:  Frayed Burlap Distress Ink
Stamps:  Verve Be Okay Plain Jane and Verve Joyful Blooms
All the other stuff:  Big Shot Pro; Spellbinder's Classic Oval Large , Classic Scallop Squares Small, Labels 22,  Fleur de Lis Rectangles; Verve Joyful Blooms and Ribbon Banner A Cut Above Dies; Picket Fence Distress Stain; Adirondack Acrylic Paint Dabber in Cloudy Blue; distressing tool; lots of dimensionals and Recollections Pearls

Have a terrific Tuesday, everyone!
