Pastel Poinsettias Three

Tuesday, November 22, 2011

Over at Splitcoast today, it's the Color Challenge. Today we're using Blushing Bride, Pear Pizzazz, Marina Mist and either white or vanilla for a neutral. And, for dessert, make it a Christmas design.

I've started with a standard A2 card base in ivory. Next comes a layer of Blushing Bride that's been dry embossed. A Versamark pen was used for the dots, and then they were heat embossed with gold satin embossing powder.

The poinsettias were made by stamping and heat embossing each flower three times on a sheet of ivory card stock. Then I sponged the various colors over each flower. Next they were cut out with the dies. The bottom layer of each poinsettia was attached to the card with dimensionals and each subsequent layer was glued. The final touch for each poinsettia was a glitter dot that was colored with my Blushing Bride marker.
