Pool Party Gratitude

Sunday, June 5, 2011

So are you thinking maybe I'm thankful to be going to a Pool Party? No...that's not it...it's the color I'm talking about! This is such a gorgeous color, don't you think?

This card has been made for the Featured Stamper challenge over at Splitcoast. Today we are honoring STAGCCVA (Taylor). Her gallery is full of amazing inspiration.

The cardbase is a standard A2 in SU Early Espresso, followed by a slightly smaller layer of Pool Party that's been dry embossed with the Framed Tulips embossing Folder. Then there's another layer of Early Espresso, topped by the image panel in Crumb Cake. The image from Simply Soft was stamped in Early Espresso and lightly colored with a Pool Party Stampin' Write marker. Then I used my Signo Gel pen to highlight some of the areas of the flowers.

Next I added the Early Espresso ribbon and knot. And, finally a Small Oval punched piece in Early Espresso, topped by the sentiment that's been stamped in the same color on a Word Window punched piece of Pool Party.

And there you have it! Have a wonderful Sunday everyone!

  1. Really pretty colours and design I like the white signo gel pen highlights on the flowers!

  2. OMGoodness, this is beautiful! I can't wait to get my hands on some of that Pool Party!

Thank you so much for taking the time to comment on my blog. You've made my day!
